Service Description
Basic Life Support - First Aid CPR AED trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate breaths and ventilations, and provide early use of an AED. The course reflects science and education from the 2025 American Heart Association Guidelines for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC). Who should take this course? The American Heart Association’s BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings. Including, but not limited to: Nurses Dentists Physicians Hematologists Pharmacists Lifeguards What does this course teach? Basic Life Support (BLS) First Aid CPR AED teaches the lifesaving skills of first aid, CPR and AED including: High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants BLS concepts from the Chain of Survival Delivering effective breaths or ventilations Importance of early use of and how to use an AED Performance as an effective team member during multi-rescuer CPR Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults, children, and infants Class runs ~4 hours. Certifications are issued via email, after class completion. BLS manuals will be available for purchase for $20, if requested. Instructor: Terri Reylek Classes start on time. The doors open 20 minutes before class and close at the start of the class. We have the right to turn anyone away for being late. Classes are booked in a rented space. If less than 4 customers are booked for any one class, you will be asked to reschedule.
